Palace of Smokeless Fire follows the food-loving treasure hunter Sophia Nairian and her journey through a perilous labyrinth ruled by giant monster women. The shapeshifting inhabitants of the world of Eidolis are dangerous, and along the way there will be mini-games to play, puzzles to solve, and strange meals to eat.
Palace of Smokeless Fire will be an exploration-based first person shooter with adult themes around mythology, gluttony, and giant women. It will feature an RPG system with stats and skills to upgrade. Watch Sophia the treasure hunter from Earth develop into a legendary mystic warrior. Will she wield the blade and become a daring swordswoman, or will she take up the mystic arts and use the secrets of the fae and djinn to solve her problems? The choice is yours.
The Story
Eidolis is a land of mystery and adventure. It’s a land of strange creatures, intriguing plots, and dangerous ancient treasures. Among its most dangerous treasures is the Ark of Enthralled Flame. The vessel contains spirits of destruction, gluttony, and chaos, waiting to be unleashed by a forbidden ancient ritual. It remains locked away in the palace of Pavanry Calor, and there it was safe from the hands of evil… until the Dark Mother Army and its mutant soldiers took control of the palace. The great dragon Baroness Thalmatar now has her greedy claws on the Ark and she seeks to use a ritual to infuse herself with the spirits within. But there are those who would oppose her gluttonous ambitions. Sophia, a brave treasure hunter from Earth, has been hired to take the Ark safely out of the Dark Mother Army’s hands.
Below you can find downloads of the old early test builds for this game. It was formerly called Sophia and the Savage World, Sophia and the Secret Grotto, and Spending Time with Sophia.

There is currently not a latest version on Patreon. I have a test build of my current project, Palace of Smokeless Fire, on the way now.

Hello and thank you! The next scene will be available to the public when I finish the next Patreon test build, which should be in a couple months. I am currently building a new stuffing minigame for it.

Thank you! And it's difficult to say. My work is always going to have WG themes, but I very quickly became burnt out on making games that... well, essentially you play with one hand. I want to get more creative with how I explore WG themes and come up with far more interesting gameplay than what I have made in the past. That's why I hid my old games away for now, but I have no intention of just deleting them altogether because I like having the archive.
I have temporarily hidden my older games on my itch page. In a few days I'll make a post with links to the pages and game downloads. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Ah, thank you, I'm honored you would consider me! However, this year I'm sorry to say I don't have anything that I'm quite ready to show off just yet but I do appreciate the invite.
I did really like this new version, but I wonder why the massive direction change? Its so drastically different, losing the good and bad of the old one and all progress. Oh well, I just miss some of the content of that past one - losing out on the schwarma belly and mirror scenes is sad.
I'm planning to re-add the shawarma stuffing scene to the new version of the game, and hopefully make it a bit better. I want to play with the idea of her being a bit thinner before the shawarma binge, and have that affect the way she navigates the early dungeon. As for the overall direction change, I realized I wanted to focus more on exploration aspects, since Sophia is an adventurer, and the visual novel format wasn't doing it for me in the way I wanted.

Loving the pitfalls implications and really want to see different dialogue and animations with different weights and choices.
Also, I really hope the mirror content returns, I like the concept of that from old versions.

Everything is simple there, with the help of Wine you can install, run programs on Mac
does wine work on Macs Ventura and higher
No Wine does not work on Ventura, but you can try who knows maybe Wine has been updated

How?
It works out of the box with wine. Just launch it with `wine "Sophia and the Secret Grotto"` in the game directory. Generates quite a lot of warnings but the game works fine.

Were you able to get past the first choice of playing the minigame or skipping to morning? Clicking inside the image doesn't seem to work. Only the first button outside the 'frame'. I did launch through the terminal using wine.
I got the minigame part, but I'm unable to click proceed once the minigame was complete.

I don't plan to because the game is going to be so massive that it wouldn't run well in the browser. But I'd like to see if I can get a Mac build going as well.
